From Brooklyn, Red Baraat merges hard-driving North Indian bhangra with elements of hip-hop, jazz, and raw punk energy. Red Baraat Festival of Colors is an immersive celebration of Holi, a Hindu holiday marked by public gatherings of families, friends, and strangers rejoicing in song, dance, and color. Rini and Radha will open.
Harini “Rini” Raghavan performs with an international cadre of musicians in her unique version of Indian electronica. She draws from decades of Carnatic music training and years at Berklee College of Music to bring together the sounds and music of her birthplace in India and her home in New York City.
Radha is an acclaimed singer/keyboardist from the Boston area who expresses her emotions in the realm of Trapsoul and late night R&B. Her Indian roots and Western influences show their presence in her dark melodies as she navigates through her experiences of love and loss. Having gained attention from the likes of Jason Derulo, Willow Smith, and John Legend, Radha strives to cultivate powerful musical experiences for her listeners.
