Guitar virtuoso Vieux Farka Touré crafts Malian blues deeply rooted in the Songhai tradition of his late father, guitarist Ali Farka Touré. He draws on traditional West African melodies echoed throughout American blues and infuses them with adventurous cross-border explorations, manifested in collaborative albums with notable artists such as psych-rock band Khruangbin. Armed with the fire of his guitar, Touré creates an irresistible sound that pays homage to the past while looking toward the future.
