Sold out - another successful Bastille Day Party!

On Friday, July 10, 2015 we joined the French Cultural Center of Boston on Marlborough St., to commemorate the storming of the Bastille which took place on July 14, 1789 and marked the start of the French Revolution. The Bastille was a prison, and though Marlborough St. was fenced off for paying festival goers, the spirit of the Bastille Day Party felt nothing like a prison! With 2,000 revelers drinking, eating, and dancing, this year's Bastille Day Party was one of the best yet, plus it marked the 40th anniversary of the event for the French Cultural Center, so congratulations to them! The music programming (by World Music/CRASHarts) also featured one of the best line-ups yet with The Hot Sardines and Paris Combo taking the stage.

Maybe it was their style or maybe it was the tap dancer (I love tap) but The Hot Sardines really blew my away! They were talented, fun, and impeccably dressed.

I'm also pretty proud of myself for resisting the temptation of the sweet, sweet smell and taste of those waffles. Oh! Those waffles! Next year, my willpower might not be as strong.

Check out some great photos of The Hot Sardines and Paris Combo on our Facebook page. Kudos to Erin, our Box Office manager, for taking such great shots!
