Cambridge River Festival returns to the banks of the Charles River along Memorial Dr between JFK St and Western Ave. Head to the Global Arts Live Stage (located near the intersection of JFK and Memorial) on June 21 to catch incredible performances from local artists with global roots, including:  

12PM Timeless musical traditions from across the Mediterranean by Zafarán, who weave together Southern Italian chants, Romani laments, Turkish and Greek folk tunes, and Sephardic love songs 

1:30PM Congolese rumba and contemporary West African music blended with Western styles like shoegaze, surf, and dub from Maison Électronique 

3PM Balla Kouyaté, a virtuoso of the West African balafon rooted in the Mandé tradition

4:30PM The pioneering Veronica Robles Female Mariachi Band that promotes inclusivity in the historically male-dominated mariachi tradition through a vibrant all-women ensemble
