We regret to announce that the Les Ballets Africains performance scheduled for Feb 28 at the Berklee Performance Center has been cancelled due to visa issues.
Les Ballets Africains, the national dance company of the Republic of Guinea, was formed in Paris in 1952 by distinguished Guinean choreographer Keita Fodeba. The company quickly established itself as a global phenomenon—hailed as cultural ambassadors that proudly uphold Africa’s vast cultural heritage. Bridging the gap between nations through the universal language of dance and music, the 35-member company presents an inimitable blend of traditional dance, music, and storytelling featuring striking demonstrations of spectacle, acrobatics, comedy, and drama.
