Having spent over a decade performing all over the globe, Montreal singer-songwriter Cœur de Pirate showcases the unifying power of her vibrant stage presence at every concert, with a melancholy style of delivery that has made her famous. Backed by her musicians—Renaud Bastien (guitar), Marie-Claudel Chénard (bass), Ariane Vaillancourt (keyboards, voice), Marie Michèle Blain (cello) and Félix-Antoine Beaudoin (drums)—Cœur de Pirate will delight fans with acoustic versions of her finest material, performing the songs off her latest album for the very first time, as well as her greatest hits from previous years. 

Cœur de Pirate Biography
More than a decade has passed since Béatrice Martin became a household name under the now customary pseudonym of Cœur de Pirate. Armed with a talent worthy of goldsmithing, a poetry sometimes refined, sometimes subversive, and an elusive aura, she seduces as she surprises, springing up where she is not expected, with versatility, but coherence, and in front of an audience systematically at the rendezvous.

She first appeared alone at the piano in 2008, in front of a Montreal audience that seemed to be waiting only for her. At the age of 19, Cœur de Pirate released her first album of the same name, a true phenomenon that was quickly certified platinum in Canada and diamond in France. Blonde followed in 2011, a triumphant second effort that revealed a more complex and fragmented sound. The singer-songwriter migrated to a bilingual offering in 2015, Roses, which sold over 200,000 copies worldwide. The sold-out Roses tour took her to more than 150 concerts in 10 countries, where she headlined a number of major festivals (FrancoFolies de la Rochelle, Festival d'été de Québec, Osheaga, etc.). This epic journey concluded with a creative fever that led to her fourth album, conceived in just a few months and released just in time to celebrate her 10-year career. Created entirely in France with producer Tristan Salvati, En cas de tempête, ce jardin sera fermé is studded with references to the opulent French chanson of Dalida, Michel Berger, and other great figures of the 1970s. 

The success of Cœur de Pirate propelled her to the ranks of pop icon throughout the French-speaking world and in English Canada. With four albums under her belt, she earned numerous industry accolades, including patina certifications in Canada and France, five Felix Awards, three Victoires de la musique, and a Juno Award nomination in the Fan Choice category. 

Without waiting after the tour that followed her fourth opus,  Cœur de Pirate unveils a new register: a danceable, tonic and assumed pop, which materializes on the songs "Ne m'appelle pas," "Femme like U" (a remarkable cover of K-Maro's hit), as well as "T'es belle." These three songs are well known in the radio charts. In addition to her recent accomplishments, Béatrice Martin performed at the Juno Awards alongside Loud and participated as a coach on the popular TV show La Voix. At the same time, Béatrice Martin is involved as an ambassador for the CHUM Foundation. 

Deprived of her voice due to vocal cord surgery, the artist's creative flame did not die out: in May 2021, she launched an instrumental piano album, Perséides. Shortly after, she rediscovered the pleasure of singing and continued her country lineage with "Plan à trois," a song about a love triangle with an ending sprinkled with a hint of revenge.

In the fall of 2021, Cœur de Pirate released her sixth career album, Impossible à aimer. This album features the singer-songwriter's signature sad and heartbreaking love songs set to disco pop-inspired dance tunes from the 70s.
