A powerful performative archive, ZAZ honors the resilience of Hurricane Katrina survivors by embodying their stories through dance, music, and technology. Tap, hard-soled shoes, gumboots, and barefoot movement create a percussive score woven into speech, singing, rapping, and projections that illuminate the oral histories and recorded testimonies of the hurricane survivors, while transporting audiences to New Orleans.
